Contemplation at Gold Coast Water

Is it possible to take the city out of the girl,
when you take the girl out of the city?

How long does it take to get the noise out of your head
even when your ears can no longer hear it?

Is it only when you let your ears hear the quacking of flying ducks
The call of an early rising turtle dove
The chirpinng of small birds playing in the trees?

How many fish has to jump out of the water
before you stop feeling like one?
How many ripples in the water does it take to make a storm?

Thoughts buzzing and hovering like bugs around your head
Fighting for your attention, feelings of unfulfilled responsiblities left behind
In your desparate attempt to be everything and nothing at the same time
you achive neither, and left with a feeling of dispair

What would happen if you take each thought on its own,
and write it all out to get it out of your head.
Then pick the hard things first you can do something about
and you'll feel a sense of achievement to calm your mind

But what if life is not about achieving, but for us to enjoy with others?
Will you create a life for yourself that will allow you the time to enjoy the view?

Unique- from the Fairy

You are a unique individual strong and secure
Like your own company and have no fear
A shining star spreading light
Through your high vibration and smiles of delight.

Your inquisitive nature leads you to explore
To understand cultures near and far
To link and connect with all sorts of people
And fit them together like a puzzle.

Your circle of contacts link to each other
As mutual interests they discover
And each soul grows in confidence
Nurtured by your easy acceptance.

Your willingness to problem solve
The issues others cant resolve
Show your amazing patience and determination
The concept of defeat for you a foreign notion.

Your mantra is connect connect
And your many interests allow for that
Being detached from personal drama
Brings enlightenment for you much nearer.

You're a spark of light inside my head
That enables my brain to understand
You hold that space and put it in order
Reflect my thoughts so they become clearer.

Stay solid and centred and maintain balance
Surround yourself with all the colours
Spirituality health and communication
Based on a strong intuitive foundation

Are pre-requisites for this life mission
As a happiness empowering technician.

Day at the beach

What joy at the beach
if you have the courage
to get out of your room
and enjoy the sun on your skin

Families out taking advantage of the weather
Dad walking hand in hand with his daughter,
strolling, wet sandals in his other hand.
Willing to stop as she bends down endlessly
to investigate natures treasures in the sand.

Young men passing a ball with
great delight and enjoyment
As if by magic, the ball
radiates happiness, when it is touched.
Eager to impress onlookers, who
seem oblivious to their efforts.

Children playing in the sand
building fortresses soon to be
demolished by the incoming wave
sea gulls flock together
a young boy curious, slowly walking
closer to touch them,
forever eluded by the flying birds

Lovers walking hand in hand
taking in the romantic scene
of the sun glistening on the ocean,
mountains dormant, blue and rigid.

A young boy wade side to side
as he walks, hands deep inside his pockets
as if to hide himself from the world.
seemingly oblivious to the beauty around him.
Lift his nose to take in a fresh breath
and smell his growing loneliness.

A girl, relaxing on her towel
bare skin glistening in the sun
eager to share her beauty with
whomever is willing to look.
soaking up the warm in form of a tan
reading her book, escaping the world around her

Families sitting under the trees
picnic blanket filled with bread, fruit, snacks
is this quality time, being together time?
drinking and sharing stories together?

On the water is a float
with children using it as a dive board
holding on while their feet
are kicking up water, splashing as they play.

A young baby girl testing her toe in the cold water
walking slowly towards the deeper unknown,
careful not to get hurt, not step on a rock.
The children swimming ahead in the distance
her destination of choice, if courage wins.
She turns her head to look for encouragement
as if looking back will help her move forward

A worried mother spot the young child in the water
"What are you doing?" the voice is angry with concern
The baby looses all hope and turns
just as she was about to join the swimmers.
Her fear drives her back to the shore
much aster that it took her to wade off into the water
mother is angry now, she learns not to have courage.

And that is how we grow up
in units of people, and sometimes alone
looking for the group that we fit in or belong.
When you look and finally realize
you fit no where, and you belong everywhere.

My friend Aileen

My friend Aileen
is a sensitive soul
she's a big dreamer
although she believe she has no goal

She is a nurse by trade
and I can tell you true
she has all sorts of methods
up her sleeve, to help you

She knows her stuff
when it comes to medicine
she even sometimes calls herself
a walking pharmacy

She's got what you need
that's for sure
Alternative healing or
method can also help with a cure

And when you're sick
she'll take care of you
you can be sure
just like moma used to do

Aileen is also sometimes
just like a big child
asking 'why?' endlessly
to feed her childlike curiosity

'Are we there yet?' She'd ask
when away on a road trip
filled with excitement, and
not to let any adventure slip

Make sure to play some music
for my friend Aileen
Especially Celtic songs
to pain a Scottish scene

Now beware; playful Aileen
can sometimes tease
but she means no harm
put your mind at ease

The thing I admire the most
about my friend, is her
capacity to forgive
and believe no ill intent

She is ready to accept that
she can look at a situation
in a different way
without much contemplation

Nature is Aileen's best friend
it shows her miracles abound
Because she is eager to see
Caterpillars, Chrysalis and butterflies around

The butterflies would carry messages
from angels and other guides
they would come and dance for her
and surround her from all sides

She loves dear Molly who
loves spending time on walks for sure
While Aileen smell the flowers
Molly sniff out natures treasures

She walks the labyrinth for inspiration
and do her journey work her way
she'll right a poem or just a note
to express what she'd love to say

her poetry all perfectly rhymes
And make her feel so proud
but when a rhyme eludes her
She express her dismay aloud

She is in touch with her feelings
and she operates from her heart
And if she is ever in doubt,
her pendulum tells her she's smart

Although she was unsure at first
and believed she sucks at techno
she now finds herself sorting
her photos, just like a real pro

I'll let you in
on a little secret thing
my friend Aileen
wish she had angel wings

I see her admire the angel wings
on the cards that she draw
stroke them lovingly
and look upon them in awe

And sometimes when Aileen
does her special healing things
I swear that I can see behind her back,
spreading beautiful white wings

Sydney Commute

Isn't it funny.  The train ride to Sydney
Peak traffic keeps people standing
in the corridor.  Some sitting, poking at
their  technology block.  Quietly waiting.

Some got their ears wired to their boxes, seemingly oblivious to the station announcements.  In their own world.
With their own thoughts.  I wonder.

The woman next to me sit with closed eyes.
Her body gently rocking with the beat of the train.  Probably unaware of her environment.

Strangers mixed together in a can, without
Talking, without touching.  Yet we breath upon each other. Recycling the same air.
Sharing the thought vibrations that are available to us all.  Are you open to it?

Nature

A day spent inside is a wasted day
of nature showing off its beauty.

The trees creaking in the soft wind
Flowers blossoming bright after morning due
Grass pressing on upwards to the sun
Green in the sunlight hue

Small reptiles baking in the morning sun
Fast to scury and avoid human feet
Tree bark slipping of the trunk
Down below the pieces meet

Hungry birds chirping their song
Eager to tell their tale
Gossip travel from tree to tree
Singing oh so happily

This goes on and much much more
While people hide in their shelters
Away from the storm, away from the joy
Is that what we call human nature?

Larry the Cricket

Larry the cricket, once there was
A friendly old chap, stuck in a vase
He jumped and twirl, escape was near
Poor Larry was scared, and filled with fear.

Jack was his name, this little boy
Captured Larry he did, and took his joy
Curious he was, now let me see
What the cricket does when he’s not free

Jump! Skip! Hop! Then fall on his head
Larry got angry, Larry saw red!
Everyone heard how he screamed and shout,
But no one was brave to help Larry out.
Then Jack got bored, and Jack moved on
Forgot all about Larry, and he was gone.
Larry got tired of shouting and jumping
And felt like nothing he did was helping.

Larry grew hungry as night time fall
He could eat his own leg or nothing at all.
Wide eyed Larry just lied still and stared.
Although he was lonely, he was no longer scared.

Larry felt a big calm washed over his mood
He did not know where it came from, but it was good.
Somehow Larry knew he was free
Even though, through his own eyes, he could not see.

As he lay still, he did not go far
A fly made its appearance in the glass jar.

It buzzed and was noisy, curiously looked

Larry knew exactly how to get the fly hooked

As the fly flew near, Larry couldn’t stop
His excitement and hopes of seeing the fly drop
The fly moving closer got Larry in a twist
If he had little fingers, he would have made little fists
Larry focused so hard on catching the fly
He wouldn’t even notice his best friend go by.
Slowly does it, plan for the leap
Something that Larry could do in his sleep

As Larry got ready, the fly noticed the plan
And change direction as quick as he can
In the same moment, Larry jumped up so far
That he find that he jumped right out of the jar!

Lost

When all seems lost
And all that is left in you is dispair, fear not.

The new morning brings with it a new day
With hope, a chance to try again
To be again, anew.

If all else failed yesterday
Try something new today
With a new perspective

The story of the heart

The heart is created
For you to feel love
Sometimes it hurts so much and so frequent
That it feels like you're heart is torn to pieces

And just when you think
You will never be able to stitch it back together
Someone repairs it for you
Restoring your faith that there is such a thing as hope, joy and love.

Without a heart, there is no heartbreak, jealousy, distrust, loss, confusion, dispair, desire, emptiness; flowing through the veins of fear.

Without heart there is also no happiness, romance, joy, trust, belonging, whole; flowing through the veins of love.

Sense of place

Sense of place

Red, blue, yellow and green
The carnival is in full flair.
Musical chimes lie thick in the air
With promise of fun and laughter.

Round and round the merry people go
Fists clenching fake guns, killing plastic ducks.
Melted ice cream and pink candy floss
Pop pop popcorn crunching, falling from overfilled mouths

Walking the dusty road back home
Leaving the loud noises behind
Where dead grass lay quiet and still
On the outstretched landscape

Trickle trickle, cold water dribble
Over smooth rocks, still.
Only the frogs dare to sing
While wet shoes reach the shore, marching on.

Lushes fruit trees with no need to share
Take in nature’s splendour
No tinkle of coins
Only blessings to count.

Sue is leaving

Your function can be delegated happily, but not the role you played for this family.

If anything needs a clear head, then ask Sue.
You always seem to know just what to do.

Thank you for making it safe as you leave.
You can be very proud of what you’ve achieved!

You will be missed, but you'll be in our hearts
May joy and happiness be on the cards!

A scoop of strawberry ice cream
·      Pick creamy drops running over the soggy cone sticky hand
·      licking pink drops of ice cream
·      stabbing the melting round berry ball in her plate with a spoon
·      her tongue rolling around the strawberry ball of ice cream
·      rotating hand forming a tennis ball of pink ice cream

A knife
·      The sharp edge of the knife lies glistening in the sun
·      the knife lie lonely on the table with no fork in sight
·      her words cuts like a knife through my heart
·      The rusty crumbs on the old knife barely cuts through the bag
·      The shiny knife moves smoothly through the turkey meat

A necktie
·      noose around the neck
·      formal bow tie black and white theme
·      Hawaiian blue wide tie
·      thin rope like tie, a cowboy's accessory
·      Red Polka dot tie contrasting a boring grey suit

A ball
  • ·      Ball rolling down the hill
  • ·      course  beach ball
  • ·      plonk goes the winning ball in the pond, game over
  • ·      bouncing forward on a giant ball
  • ·      Egg shaped ball embraced by the player, not letting go, until the right millisecond

A drinking glass
·      Crystal edged glass
·      Coffee mug
·      Tin camping mug coffee tasting metal like
·      Long thin soft flutes to celebrate our joy
·      Orange juice in white polystyrene

Tests

In the backyard garden
A lady bug went by,
without asking pardon,
of the big old nasty fly.

"And where do you think you're going?"
The fly said very firm
the bug looked like she's glowing
as she made a sharp turn

"I'm off to see the queen
who lives in a hive nearby"
she said with fear unseen
as she almost started to cry

But she knew that she's the one who fears
and she's the one that can stop, that's clear.

The caterpillar yellow and white,
spun itself in a chrysalis closed.
A new evolved creature started the fight
to present itself to the world, exposed.

The creature wiggles its body, wrapped
inside it's own weaved protection.
The beautiful wings painted orange and black,
both flapping with grand new intention.

A new experience of elevated flight
A butterfly emerged with eager splendour
Exploring the world with wonder and delight
Seeing the beautiful flowers, and surrenders.

Did the caterpillar know that such beauty
Would be its eventual duty?

Accident

I need to get away
A siren is going off in my head
As I stumble out the crumbled car
The only remains of an eventful night
That started earlier in the bar

My entire body aches
My head hurts and my eyes blur
My body is tainted with sticky red
That dries and leaves crusty stains
As I leave the bloody wreck

Beaten up just like me
And close by is my mate
Shocked by the event
Pleading ‘please help, please help’
As we make our fearful escape

It’s dark all around the hood
And no one in is in sight or awake
To witness this terrible deed
This thing I did
That I probably never will shake

‘Bro, you f**ed up, bro’
Is all I can hear, and it’s true
The body in the back of the car
Was still and motionless
When I told him its time to go

A night that started with mischief and candor
Boasting egos of boundless freedom
And now Ethan’s dead
I did not just speed a stolen car

I robbed my friend of his life, and killed him
